Shine On Gimuy is an immersive First Nations and Bama led multi-arts light festival, led by Artistic Director – creative arts and festivals pioneer – Rhoda Roberts AO.
Held along the glistening foreshore of tropical Gimuy/Cairns, Queensland, our 2024 festival will bring the nights to life from 3-13 October, on the Esplanade and at the Salt House Festival Hub.
Hosted by the Gimuy Wulubara Yidinji Nation – on their unceded homelands – Shine On Gimuy festival is a celebration of all forms of First Nations storytelling, showcasing innovative arts, musicval and cultural practices.

About Go Freek:
Australian global dance export, Go Freek, is about as fond of generic club music as he is about correct spelling. Multiple ARIA Club Chart Top 10s is commonplace for Go Freek releases peaking with his record-breaking #1 collaboration with Dom Dolla on ‘Define’. It did not take long for radio to follow suit with plays and rotation adds on Triple J and EDC iHeart Radio to name a few!
Having received consistent support from the likes of Idris Elba, FISHER, Camelphat, Claptone, Anna Lunoe, Christian Martin, Porter Robinson and Diplo to name a few, Go Freek has readily filled a gap in modern dance music with his own unique sound and an unforgettable live presence.

Blurb: When Eloise wakes up, she has no memories of her past. Her friends, her job, her family, her life: she truly is a mystery to herself. Patching a few pieces together, Eloise manages to find her flat and her job. However, with no recollection of who she was, she finds herself navigating someone else life. As the days go, Eloise discovers who she was and is not fond of it. Eloise realizes her amnesia is an opportunity. It is time for a fresh start!
